Product Marketing Manager

The Product Marketing Manager will play a critical and strategic role in our initial rollout and introduction to the world as our first marketing hire. This is an exciting opportunity to help articulate, in a concise way, the vast use cases and applications of our technology that will set the stage for our long-term vision and success.

We’re seeking a natural storyteller who can break down complex problems and identify specific solutions that can be achieved by using the Basis Theory platform. You will be a trusted partner of both the product/engineering team(s) and the go-to-market function. In addition to working closely with the founders and executives, you will drive consistency across all customer and public facing touch points including the website, social presences and all sales and marketing collateral.

  • Craft our overall story including ownership of all messaging and positioning to drive demand and adoption
  • Own our product messaging, positioning, and value proposition. This includes developing marketing assets, website pages, presentations, etc to support every stage of our sales cycle
  • Design the customer journey for each use-case, ensuring that all education gaps and content create a cohesive message
  • Own and lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches for both internally and across all of our external channels
  • Develop all initial use case messaging and the associated customer profiles 
  • Create, validate, build and own all marketing materials

Key Experience

  • 4-5+ years of relevant experience in product or brand marketing in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Prove track record of driving strong results in a similar position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop narratives
  • Ability to think about both large enterprise and everyday developers within the same context
  • Well organized, obsession for detail, and ability to operate tactically while understanding the future landscape
