Sales Development Representative

Basis Theory is a data tokenization platform used by organizations to quickly, securely, and compliantly use their sensitive data. Basis Theory’s PCI Level 1 compliant, SOC 2 certified, and localized environments allow organizations to process, analyze, and share credit card information, personally identifiable information, or any high-value data type—all without the costs and risks of securing it themselves.

We are looking for an ambitious, self-starter to help maximize our sales and marketing efforts. The SDR helps generate new business by identifying and converting leads into qualified sales opportunities through targeted campaigns.  The SDR role is an important top of the sales funnel position and will often be the customer’s first point of contact, from there you will work with sales and marketing to determine the appropriate next steps. This is an opportunity to join on the ground floor of building the go-to-market engine for a fast-growing start-up.

The team at Basis Theory is building from first-hand experience at Twilio, Klarna, Dwolla and has raised over $17 million from Bessemer Venture Partners, Kindred Ventures, Offline Ventures, Conversion Capital, and others.. What You Will Do:

  • Be the first point of contact for new potential customers at Basis Theory.
  • Prospect to find new opportunities help grow our customer base.
  • Qualify and do discovery with Inbound leads to drive qualified opportunities.
  • Make calls and drive prospect outreaches to generate qualified interest.
  • Pinpoint key decision-makers and actively reach out to understand project details and company initiatives.
  • Keep all prospects warm and ensure no meeting gets missed.
  • Conduct concentrated campaigns and forward-thinking customer outreach.
  • Meet and exceed quotas for creating new pipeline by converting new inbound opps and creating new outbound opportunities.
  • We’d love nothing more than to have you get promoted to an Enterprise Business Development role and train your replacement.

An ideal candidate will have

  • 1 year + experience working for a software company
  • Experience with a CRM (Salesloft, Pipedrive, Salesforce)
  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently
  • B2B sales experience preferred
  • Ability to learn new things in a quickly changing environment
